This is fictional sample content, created to demonstrate the layout. The places, people and figures in it are invented. It is not reporting.

The collection came from a regional broadcaster that closed in 1998. Much of it arrived without documentation of any kind.

In this episode she plays six fragments and explains what each one tells her: the room, the equipment, roughly the decade, and occasionally the person holding the microphone.

The hardest category is the everyday. A council meeting is easy to date. A street recorded at nine in the morning could be almost any year.
